Tower Health is seeking a dynamic leader for the role of Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at our esteemed hospital campus in Philadelphia, PA. The Chief will be responsible for overseeing both clinical and operational functions within the department, which includes managing clinical coverage, physician staffing, and nurse practitioners. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in departmental leadership, program enhancement, strategic development, and clinical governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily clinical operations of the medical team
- Establish a clear vision and strategic direction for the department
- Lead initiatives addressing operational challenges
- Design and implement policies
- Actively participate as a practicing physician
- Develop educational programs tailored to practice needs
- Mentor and train clinical personnel
- Engage in Quality Improvement initiatives
- Recruit clinical staff, including physicians and nurse practitioners, to expand the department
- Manage the roles and responsibilities of physicians and nurse practitioners

Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency
- Board Certification in Pediatrics
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a pediatric hospitalist setting
- At least 3 years of experience in leadership and change management within a clinical practice
