BFC is currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented **Accounting/Finance Intern** to become a part of our dynamic team. This internship provides an invaluable opportunity to engage in daily financial operations, encompassing data entry, financial analysis, and report preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain an understanding of how generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) are applied in everyday business operations.
  • Learn the intricacies of our month-end processes and the assembly of financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of financial documents.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable tasks by processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Conduct data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial records within accounting software.
  • Perform financial analysis and prepare reports for management's review.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Participate in audits and compliance assessments as required.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; rising juniors, seniors, or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Interest in expanding knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comfortable navigating workflows and processes.
  • Passionate about accounting operations.
  • Aptitude for learning new software technologies.
  • Exhibits a highly professional demeanor.
