Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at AKP Recruiting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection engineering and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis of existing fire protection systems and design new systems, including suppression systems, fire detection, alarm, and mass notification systems.
  • Conduct building and fire code analysis and interpretation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and utilize technical expertise to meet client expectations.
  • Develop and implement project management strategies to deliver internal and external projects on time and within budget.
  • Conduct research and document findings for internal and external distribution.
  • Provide peer reviews of colleagues' work products to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in local and national professional organizations, such as the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Fire Protection Engineering License by examination issued by any state in the United States.
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in the Fire Protection profession.
  • Ability to travel (estimated travel percentage 20%).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
