Job Overview:


Under the guidance of departmental leadership, the Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in executing intricate tasks across various financial domains. This includes the evaluation and consolidation of financial outcomes for presentation to upper management, conducting productivity assessments, and generating comprehensive financial and statistical reports, alongside budgeting, auditing, and analytical functions.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, along with professional judgment and critical thinking capabilities.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education / Experience
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required.
Experience in healthcare finance is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify operational requirements and facilitate the implementation of processes, protocols, and tools to address these needs.

Ability to adapt interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans, modifying behavior to suit tasks, situations, and individuals involved.

Exhibits leadership qualities and critical thinking through self-directed initiative and effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability to recognize and comprehend issues, challenges, and opportunities, comparing data from diverse sources to draw informed conclusions; employing effective strategies for decision-making or developing suitable solutions, taking actions consistent with available facts, constraints, and likely outcomes.

A data storyteller responsible for analyzing metrics, illustrating connections, and presenting insights in a clear and informative manner.

Demonstrates advanced proficiency in standard Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerBI, and PowerPoint) and other software/technology tools to support reporting, analysis, presentations, and automated trend analysis.

Experience in prioritizing tasks and organizing workflows in a dynamic environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to manage relationships and collaborate with all levels of management, including department directors and colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds, in resolving charge/revenue issues.

Ability to mentor effectively.
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains organization-wide tools for productivity monitoring and labor resource evaluation for leadership use.
Creates and/or updates reports to identify various metrics as defined by leadership or required for departmental oversight.

Collaborates directly or indirectly with Hospital Finance, organizational leadership, and other departments to provide data, reports, and support for projects or audits, addressing issues or enhancing services.

Demonstrates capability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Can formulate detailed project plans, define project scopes, and engage with necessary internal/external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of projects across affected areas.

Can lead individuals and teams effectively through changes in processes and technology, aligning appropriate resources to ensure successful program/project outcomes.

Builds effective relationships among internal/external stakeholders, colleagues, and staff to foster trust and guide individuals/teams through change initiatives.

Documents outcomes of all special project work and provides recommendations for opportunities related to special projects.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
