Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at i-Kare Treatment Center. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing client care services in a behavioral healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate meetings and provide structure for clients during and after hours and weekend activities.
  • Assist in the admission process, answer client questions, and help clients adjust to the program routine.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and staff to report any changes in clients' physical or mental condition.
  • Supervise clients with emphasis on client safety and well-being.
  • Assist with the admission process, orientation procedures, and scheduling.
  • Record inventory logs of personal belongings, valuables, and return tickets.
  • Facilitate orientation groups with clients.
  • Fill out required lab requisitions per protocol.
  • De-escalate AMA and other client problems.
  • Participate in all staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Provide liaison with staff and other tech to ensure all clients' needs are met.
  • Supervise meals, including supervision of servers and clean-up crew after each meal.
  • Provide emotional support for clients while referring them to therapy staff to deal with clinical issues.
  • Complete all assigned paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Complete incident reports according to policy in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Communicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality client care.
  • Participate in maintaining clean, properly supplied, and efficient work areas.
  • Complete UA Screen Collection per protocol.
  • Exercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance as necessary to effectively manage client behavior.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • DBT training is a plus.
  • Able to accept supervision and support.
  • Must be 21 years of age (valid driver's licensing required).
  • Overseeing activities and events.
  • Documenting client information.
  • Assist medical staff as required.
  • Communicate with clients.
  • Assist during emergency situations.
  • Provides for the personal care and comfort of our clients.
  • MS Office experience, computer skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to take direction from others.
  • Transporting clients.
  • Candidates in recovery are encouraged to apply (Must have 1 year sobriety).
  • Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Attends in-service training, when necessary.
  • Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Willingness to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Work Schedule

We offer flexible scheduling with three available shifts: 1st (7 am-3 pm), 2nd (3 pm-11 pm), and 3rd (11 pm-7 am). Scheduled days would be developed with Management. Flexible availability and ability to work overtime are required.
