Job Title: Behavioral Health TechnicianJob Summary

i-Kare Treatment Center is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing client care services in a behavioral healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate meetings and provide structure for clients during and after hours and weekend activities.
  • Assist in the admission process, answer client questions, and help clients adjust to the program routine.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and staff to report any changes in clients' physical or mental condition.
  • Supervise clients with emphasis on client safety and well-being.
  • Assist with the admission process, orientation procedures, and scheduling.
  • Record inventory logs of personal belongings, valuables, and return tickets.
  • De-escalate AMA and other client problems.
  • Participate in staff meetings and provide liaison with staff and other technicians to ensure clients' needs are met.
  • Provide supervision of meals, including supervision of servers and clean-up crew after each meal.
  • Provide emotional support for clients and refer them to therapy staff for clinical issues.
  • Complete assigned paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Communicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality client care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • DBT training a plus.
  • Able to accept supervision and support.
  • Must be 21 years of age with valid driver's license.
  • MS Office experience and computer skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take direction from others.
  • Transporting clients required.
  • Candidates in recovery encouraged to apply (must have 1 year sobriety).
  • Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Attends in-service training when necessary.
  • Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Willingness to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Work Schedule

Flexible availability and ability to work overtime required. Schedules available: 1st shift (7 am-3 pm), 2nd shift (3 pm-11 pm), and 3rd shift (11 pm-7 am). Scheduled days would be developed with management.
