Job Summary

The Associate Director, Events and Constituency Programs is a key member of the Office of Constituency Programs team, responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive Advancement Events program to promote interaction with and recognition of donors at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for Advancement Events to engage donors and constituents
  • Collaborate with the Director, Constituency Engagement, and other departments to ensure alignment and quality of events
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
  • Work closely with the Advancement Events team to ensure successful execution of events
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors, constituents, and other stakeholders
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for attendees
  • Manage event budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event planning and management
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program development, event coordination, or program implementation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event planning software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with non-profit donors, preferably in a higher education setting
  • Commitment to the values of Tulane University
  • Ability to learn and use multiple software programs
  • Experience using Advance Donor Management Software or similar program for higher education fundraising
