The Prior Authorization Coordinator plays a vital role in collaborating with the billing department and branch offices to oversee the reassessment process, which includes tracking the status of service authorization requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the organization-wide eligibility process.
  • Oversee the submission and tracking of all reassessment requests.
  • Assist with follow-ups on re-authorizations or pending authorizations as necessary.
  • Document all follow-up activities and communications with branch offices regarding status and changes.
  • Conduct daily/weekly eligibility checks for clients, documenting all activities and communicating with branch offices on status and changes.
  • Provide backup support to the billing department as required.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and exhibit a proven ability to meet deadlines alongside excellent organizational skills (attention to detail). Previous experience in healthcare is advantageous.
