Job Title: Insurance Support Specialist

The Insurance Support Specialist at Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to the risk advisors and client managers. This role involves maintaining solid customer relationships, assisting with personal and commercial lines insurance duties, and interacting with customers, insurance carriers, and fellow team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Support risk advisors and client managers with administrative duties.
  • Interact with customers, insurance carriers, and fellow team members.
Qualifications:
  • Strong customer focus and excellent phone manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Math and reading skills to accurately perform simple calculations.
  • Ability to handle difficult customer phone calls and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Technology and computer proficiency, including Applied EPIC agency management system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
