Insurance Account Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Insurance Account Manager to join our growing team at Farm Bureau Insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client communications and nurture key relationships to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, current rates, coverages, insurance products, and carriers by regularly speaking with industry partners.
  • Record policy updates or changes on customer accounts and communicate with clients to explain any updates to their coverage.
  • Consult with clients to help process quotes and issue renewals or any updates needed to current policies.
  • Support clients reporting claims on current policies by gathering all documentation needed to give to the adjuster to process.
  • Provide clear answers to clients on any coverage or billing questions, including information on rate fluctuations or policy changes to ensure full understanding.
  • Utilize our social media platform to expand our presence in the market.
  • Aide in cross-selling additional products to current clients.

Qualifications:

  • Active insurance license in your state or willingness to obtain one within 90 days.
  • Insurance experience as an insurance agent or other position is preferred, but we will provide training as needed for the right fit and skillset.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant insurance industry experience will be considered.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required.
  • Excellent follow-up, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.

Compensation: $40,000 yearly
