Job Overview

At Stark Tech, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Field Service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all customer requests are addressed in a prompt, accurate, and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems with HVAC systems, using knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles.
  • Install, replace, and repair HVAC components, including coils, compressors, and condensers.
  • Work with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all customer requests are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, attending training sessions and workshops as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in HVAC, or the equivalent combination of education (technical school) and experience.
  • Must follow union qualification process for Journeyman standing.
  • Knowledge in all facets of the HVAC industry, including but not limited to Air Conditioning, Heating, Electrical, Boilers, Humidification, Dehumidification, and Refrigeration.
  • Must have universal EPA CFC certification.
  • Must have 10-hour OSHA certification.
  • Must be a highly motivated and an independent thinker.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile customer setting. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Knowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical, electrical troubleshooting, and repair skills required.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts and blueprints required.
  • Must have experience installing clean, dry refrigeration piping systems and associated practices.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones, iPads, etc.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record required.
