Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Smart MDx Laboratories is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Richardson, TX. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our clinical laboratory testing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory tests and procedures using advanced equipment, including Siemens Dimension EXL 200 and XN 530 systems.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting and calibration.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Analyze test results and report findings to laboratory staff.
  • Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and process patient samples for testing.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and laboratory activities.
  • Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance programs.
  • Follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and testing procedures through ongoing education and training.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of laboratory supplies.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment and work areas.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize laboratory processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Siemens Chemistry Analyzers EXL 200, Roche, and Sysmex laboratory systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing protocols and procedures.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Medical Technology (MT) or equivalent.
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance procedures.
