Job Summary
Granite Automotive is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Rapid City, SD. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive engineering and repair processes, as well as a professional certification in their field.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a positive and professional image by maintaining a clean work area and interacting with customers in a courteous manner.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and road tests to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of service and repair assignments.
  • Collect and verify all necessary information before requesting parts, including model year and other relevant details.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including personally-owned tools and equipment.
  • Notify Service Advisors of any expected delays or issues.
  • Provide clear and legible records of service completed for both customer and dealership use.
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with colleagues and other departments.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Valid in-state driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to use computer and calculator.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other contacts.
  • Lifting to 70 lbs.
