Job Summary

Novanta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join our Corporate and Shared Services global teams as a Senior Manager of Human Resources. This role will provide human resources leadership and daily support across the Corporate and Shared Services global teams, aligning business objectives with employees and management within the corporate function organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with C Suite Executives and Executive Functional leaders to align and deliver the global HR strategy.
  • Leading annual HR business process calendar for Talent Assessment, Performance Management, Engagement Survey and Annual Compensation process for Corporate and Shared Service teams.
  • Ensuring legal compliance and best practices by developing and implementing HR policies and managing employee relations.
  • Designing organizational structure and recommending necessary HR programs and initiatives to support Novanta business objectives.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive employee experience by overseeing employee engagement, satisfaction, and wellness initiatives.
  • Coaching business leaders on human resource management policies, processes and systems.

  • Be able to develop and implement effective HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and have excellent business acumen.
  • Be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and executive coaching skills.
  • Have a deep understanding of employment laws and regulations.

Travel Requirements

Up to 25%

Physical Requirements

Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.

Ability to use vision to read computer screen and read printed materials
