Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our Cardiac Medicine & Surgery team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement programs for staff development, education, and research in cardiac medicine and surgery.
- Collaborate with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to ensure alignment with hospital goals and objectives.
- Partner with the Associate Chief Nurse of the division to develop and implement evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Lead quality and safety efforts while promoting a just culture framework.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement/support improvement efforts.
- Develop and/or revise policies/guidelines based on changes in practice, new research findings/equipment, or products.
- Communicate clear expectations for BWH/Department of Nursing quality initiatives and outcomes measures and strategies to enhance performance measures.
- MSN (or) MS with a major in Nursing (or) DNP (or) PhD with a major in Nursing (or) a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field, required.
- Specialty certification is required at the time of hire. Certification must be maintained while employed in this position.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse required.
- Meets health requirements.
- Demonstrated evidence of competent nursing practice in clinical area or specialty.
- 5 years or greater of Cardiovascular / Vascular nursing experience required.
- Minimum five years of clinical experience as a clinical nurse with demonstrated evidence of leadership progression.
