Position Overview

The Financial Accountant is a seasoned professional tasked with managing a designated portfolio of accounts. This role encompasses comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities for the assigned accounts.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing Check Entries
  • Check Coding
  • Conducting Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparing Financial Reports/Statements
  • Managing Sales Tax
  • Handling Other Tax Obligations
  • Detailing and Preparing 1099 Forms
  • Conducting Account Reviews
  • Calculating Depreciation
  • Making Journal Entries
  • Performing Year-End Reviews
  • Managing ATF/Payroll Taxes
  • Utilizing QuickBooks

Moreover, this position requires fostering a constructive working relationship with the business owner, serving as the primary point of contact.

Desired Skills/Experience/Attributes

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other Microsoft applications such as Outlook & Word.
  • Experience in after-the-fact accounting is advantageous.
  • Ability to quickly and thoroughly learn new software.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-review capabilities.
  • Professional communication skills with clients and colleagues via email and phone.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and accountability for work outcomes is crucial.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

An Associate's degree in Accounting is preferred; however, relevant experience will also be taken into consideration.
