Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a crucial role in the evaluation of both in-house manufactured products and those sourced from suppliers. This position requires the use of advanced precision measurement tools to ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards. The inspector must adhere to established work policies and procedures while collaborating effectively within a team setting. This role is essential for Pioneer Surgical Technology to enhance patient care by ensuring high-quality and safe products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist operations in achieving superior product quality.
  • Record inspection findings and operate various inspection instruments.
  • Generate Non-Conformance (NC) reports for any inspected items that fail to meet specifications.
  • Analyze measurement reports and provide constructive feedback to engineers, machinists, and team members.
  • Conduct routine Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) inspections and perform comprehensive inspections as necessary, covering both in-house and externally sourced semi-finished and finished products.
  • Evaluate products for compliance with specifications, drawings, and inspection criteria using diverse visual, physical, mechanical, and electrical assessment methods.
  • Utilize high-precision equipment such as CMMs, Keyence systems, and Vision Systems.
  • Engage in Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) assessments.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment in alignment with general safety practices and OSHA regulations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma is mandatory.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Technical Skills:

  • Basic computer proficiency (following standard operating procedures, navigating One Drive/Sharepoint).
  • Fundamental math skills and print reading capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to perform essential inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with Propel software.
  • Capability to locate priority orders and verify their status using SAP.
