Job Summary

This position will oversee and integrate the Building Automation System (BAS) that controls all facilities at the account, working closely with key Facility Management personnel at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing graphic and logic issues, integrations, and providing daily monitoring of the BAS operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze performance, inventory control, and quality assurance to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Collaborate with the onsite building operations team to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, focusing on BAS controls, system components, networks, and devices.
  • Develop and implement sequence of operations, graphics, and front-end functions for BAS systems in new and existing buildings.
  • Monitor the operation of the BAS and HVAC systems, including alarm management, performance, programming, building occupancy schedules, temperature set points, lighting controls schedules, submeters, histories, trends, and other systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with HVAC and DDC controls skills through self-study, corporate training, workshops, and other development opportunities.
  • Consult with HVAC management and personnel to identify and document service delivery needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Input work orders in the Asset Essential CMMS system and complete self-assessed work orders in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance cadence and execution.
  • Participate in the manager on duty rotation and be able to login the system remotely as needed.
Requirements
  • Must have Tridium AX & N-4 Certification.
  • 10-15 years' experience working with various control systems, including Trane, Tridium, Niagara, Distech, Johnson Controls Metasys, Rover, Distech, and Honeywell Building Automation System components and integration.
  • Job experience in the controls industry.
