Position Overview:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Logistics Coordinator will primarily focus on the selection, packaging, and dispatching of materials in accordance with established protocols and quality benchmarks, utilizing standard warehouse machinery.

This role involves engaging in ongoing enhancement initiatives, providing insights to management regarding operational and safety improvements. Additionally, the individual will oversee specific cleanliness zones to maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Facilitates the distribution and processing of materials, products, components, and equipment for delivery:

- Receives requests from clients and internal teams.
- Selects, packages, and organizes orders, ensuring accuracy through scanning technology.

- Safely loads shipments onto flatbed or LTL vehicles.

- Communicates essential details regarding each shipment to Customer Service Representatives or Supervisors.

Handles the receipt and processing of incoming materials, products, components, and equipment:

- Inspects incoming materials for potential damage, documenting and reporting as necessary.

- Receives materials from various transport methods.

- Restocks warehouse inventory and rotates stock as needed using reach trucks or forklifts.

- Operates warehouse machinery.

Engagement in Process Improvement:
Analyzes and standardizes procedures to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient handling of all shipping and receiving tasks.


Adheres to all safety, quality, and company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, safety manuals, and quality procedures.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Promotes health and safety practices in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Regular, predictable, full-time onsite attendance is required.

Assists with various projects and analyses as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED


A minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse setting, preferably in steel or tubing, or a combination of relevant education and experience.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Mathematical Proficiency:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Capability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.

Analytical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents effectively. Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

Communication Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen and convey information effectively to meet the needs of clients and colleagues.


Technical Skills:

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), internal business applications, and capable of learning barcoding systems.


Work Environment:
This position operates in both warehouse and office settings. The role frequently utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines, as well as warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks.

Additional Requirements:

Must adhere to safety protocols when operating tools and equipment and must obtain forklift certification and dock leveler training within the first week of employment.

Following the initial week, the individual must be able to operate the dock leveler and forklift under various weather and traffic conditions.

Must also complete a 30-hour OSHA certification within the first month of employment.
