Job Summary:

As a Practice Support Specialist at MetroHealth, you will play a vital role in enhancing the operational flow of our medical services. This includes performing a variety of duties to support our department and faculty members, upholding the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Key Responsibilities:

Enhance operational flow of assigned practice/medical service

Perform a variety of duties to support the department and assigned faculty members

Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System

Requirements:

High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam

Minimum three years of relevant experience

Proficient PC skills with Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, and the Internet

Excellent writing and interpersonal skills

Excellent customer service skills

Demonstrated organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving

Ability to work independently within a team environment

Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree

Related experience in a medical practice

Experience working in an educational/medical research setting

Medical terminology

Medical program coordination experience

Bilingual Spanish based on departmental need

Physical Demands:

May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating

May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing

Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications

Ability to read job-related documents

Ability to use a computer
