Job Summary

The Day Program Direct Support Professional will be responsible for providing individualized support and care to our participants, promoting their independence, socialization, and overall well-being. This includes assisting with daily living activities, transportation, and recreational activities, as well as maintaining accurate records and communicating with families and caregivers.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide individualized support and care to participants, including assistance with daily living activities, transportation, and recreational activities.
  2. Maintain accurate records and communicate with families and caregivers.
  3. Participate in the development and implementation of individualized plans, including Person-Centered Plans (PCPs).
  4. Supervise participants at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  5. Report any concerns or issues to the supervisor immediately.
  6. Administer medications to participants as required.
  7. Transport participants to and from the day program and other locations as directed.
Requirements
  1. High school degree and one year's related professional experience.
  2. Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  3. Ability to lift, transfer, and push manual wheelchairs.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
