About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automated Firmware Test Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for automating manual test cases for firmware QA using Python, Bash, or C# with Robot Framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automate manual test cases for firmware QA using Python, Bash, or C# with Robot Framework
  • Create setup, verify it manually, and then automate it for integration into nightly regression build testing
  • Work with firmware QA to identify areas for automation and develop solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated testing into the development process
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure high-quality firmware releases
Requirements
  • 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
  • Scripting knowledge with Python, Bash, etc.
  • Experience with Robot Framework
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Working experience with Linux, networking protocols, etc.
  • Experience in both manual and automation testing
  • Familiarity with networking standards and protocols (IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with firmware development and testing
  • Knowledge of firmware testing methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
