We are seeking a skilled Automation Controls Specialist to join our team at Southern Flow, Inc. in Alpharetta, GA.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, or mechatronics engineering, with experience in PLC programming, panel building, and system commissioning.
The Automation Controls Specialist will be responsible for designing, building, and testing control systems, as well as troubleshooting and supporting existing installations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and build control systems, including PLC programming and panel construction
- Commission and start-up control systems, ensuring proper operation and functionality
- Troubleshoot and repair control systems, identifying and resolving issues
- Interface with contractors and end-users, providing technical support and guidance
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying new knowledge and skills to improve control systems
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or mechatronics engineering
- ASEET certification or relevant experience
- Strong understanding of AC and DC electrical circuits, including 3-phase AC power and motors
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages, such as ladder logic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
