Pharmacy Manager Job Description

Weis Markets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our retail pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our team members are empowered to provide the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and direct the work of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other support staff to ensure that our pharmacy department runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues, answering questions, and resolving complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment to ensure that our pharmacy is well-stocked and that we are able to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that our pharmacy is in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for our team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent patient care.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in retail pharmacy management, with a strong background in leadership, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Certifications: Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
