Key Responsibilities
  • Directs and executes engineering tasks on wastewater and reuse projects for various clients.
  • Prepares and presents technical assessments, reports, and digital deliverables.
  • Supervises or coordinates the efforts of junior engineers, drafters, technicians, and other contributors.
  • Acts independently and makes authoritative decisions on technical issues.
  • Manages budget, schedule, contractual commitments, and quality standards.
  • Anticipates client requirements and collaborates with them to define objectives and needs for new assignments.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Engages in the exploration of relevant subject areas, defining project scopes, and developing innovative concepts and methodologies.
  • Establishes and maintains connections with key engineers and officials from other organizations.
  • Participates in teams that prepare proposals, conduct interviews, and negotiate contracts with clients.
  • Supports the firm's relationships with client management personnel.
  • Actively involved in professional associations, including presenting technical papers and serving on committees.
  • Identifies recruitment needs and participates in the hiring process.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer registration in the State of California.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience (not including any advanced degrees).
  • Experience in wastewater and reuse design within environmental consulting, focusing on hydraulics and treatment processes.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of issues related to wastewater and reuse systems, particularly in treatment plant design.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and project teams.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and proactive.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience with MBR treatment and advanced treatment facility design.
  • Experience in both design and construction phases.
  • Proficient in tools for managing project finances, schedules, and quality.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $180,000 annually. This range reflects our good faith belief regarding compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and organizational needs.
