Job Title: Supervising Engineer/Project Manager

Carollo Engineers is a leading environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities.

We are seeking a highly skilled Supervising Engineer/Project Manager to lead our engineering work on large and complex reuse projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and conduct engineering work on wastewater and reuse projects for multiple clients
  • Prepare and deliver technical evaluations, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments
  • Act independently and make authoritative decisions on technical matters
  • Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards
  • Anticipate client needs and work with the client to determine objectives and requirements of new task assignments
  • Develop significant relationships with new and existing clients and share responsibility for client maintenance
  • Involved in exploration of subject area, definition of scope, and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approaches
  • Initiate and maintain contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companies
  • Involved on team that prepares proposals, conducts interviews, and negotiates contracts with clients after selection
  • Supports firm's relationships with client management personnel
  • Active in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers, member of technical committee, officer of local or national organization
  • Identify needs for recruitment of new employees and participates in selection process
  • Travel required when requested
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California
  • 10+ years professional experience (exclusive of any advanced degree)
  • Experience includes wastewater and reuse design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design for wastewater and reuse
  • Familiar with a broad range of issues related to wastewater and reuse systems, including master planning, conveyance, with an emphasis on treatment plant design
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with multiple clients and project teams
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Experience in MBR treatment and advanced treatment facilities design
  • Design and construction phase experience
  • Experienced in using tools to manage project financials, managing schedule, and in managing quality
Compensation and Benefits:

Carollo offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $180,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off and holidays, comprehensive health insurance coverage, pre-tax savings account options for healthcare, dependent care, and commuter expenses, disability insurance, and life insurance options for you and your dependents.
