Automotive Shop Caddy – Full Time Job Summary

The Shop Caddy role is designed for a dependable and dedicated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight. This position is vital in ensuring the cleanliness and overall aesthetic of the service shop area. Qualifications
  • Prior experience in industrial cleaning services is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with team members.
  • Physical stamina and the capability to lift and move heavy objects or equipment as necessary.
  • Commitment to upholding the dealership's reputation for excellence and professionalism.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Execute comprehensive janitorial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces throughout the dealership.
  • Maintain service shop areas, ensuring all bays are thoroughly cleaned and toolboxes are kept in pristine condition.
  • Conduct detailed cleaning of equipment such as tire and brake rotor machines, as well as other machinery like AC units and battery chargers.
  • Dispose of all waste, tires, batteries, and spare parts by transporting them to designated disposal areas.
  • Empty used oil and coolant containers following proper disposal guidelines.
  • Ensure restroom facilities are clean, well-stocked, and sanitized multiple times during shifts.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned, such as deep cleaning carpets, service shop ceilings, windows, or other dealership areas.
  • Monitor cleaning supply inventory and inform management when supplies need replenishing.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other dealership staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment.
  • Keep entryways presentable and clear of debris and snow as needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to work Monday-Thursday 3pm-12am and rotating Friday or Saturday 8am-8pm
  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning or a similar role for at least one year
  • Physically capable of performing assigned tasks (walking and standing for extended periods, lifting up to 80 pounds, and working in various weather conditions)
  • Consent to a background check and drug screening.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with no major violations.
