Role Summary

The Automotive Service Shuttle Driver plays a crucial role in providing exceptional transportation services for customers while their vehicles are being serviced. This position not only involves shuttling customers to their destinations but also contributes to the overall efficiency of the service department. Responsibilities include assisting service advisors and management, ensuring the dealership remains organized and clean, and delivering a welcoming experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greets customers upon arrival in the service area
  • Plans efficient routes to meet customer needs and estimates travel times
  • Utilizes local knowledge and navigation tools to avoid traffic and ensure safe travel
  • Inspects shuttle vehicles for personal items left by clients
  • Applies protective coverings to vehicle interiors during transport
  • Communicates effectively with team members and parks vehicles in designated areas
  • Conducts basic vehicle maintenance checks such as tire pressure and fluid levels
  • Maintains cleanliness in the service drive and workshop areas
  • Performs car washes for customer and company-owned vehicles
  • Engages in deep cleaning initiatives with the maintenance team

Qualifications:

  • Availability to work Monday to Thursday from 2 PM to 10 PM and alternating Fridays and Saturdays from 8 AM to 6 PM
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Physical capability to perform tasks including driving, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings
