Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EO/IR Systems Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As a key member of our integrated product team, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge capabilities in multimodal/multifunction seekers.

As a senior-level contributor, you will work with other engineering staff and team leaders to grow and capture our knowledge through engineering changes, lessons learned, insights, Agile retrospectives, and product/process improvements in your area(s) of expertise.

You will participate in efforts across the full-spectrum of technology maturation, from strategic initiatives to full-rate production systems.

Our ideal candidate will have direct experience developing imaging EO/IR Sensor/Seeker solutions, be comfortable architecting subsystem solutions that include a combination of COTS and internally developed components, and have a strong background in EO/IR phenomenology, optics, focal plane arrays, image processing, and relevant sensor hardware technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the design, development, and test of EO/IR systems and subsystems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EO/IR systems with other sensors and systems
  • Conduct trade studies and analysis to optimize EO/IR system performance
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Participate in Agile development and testing processes
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent
  • Direct experience developing imaging EO/IR Sensor/Seeker solutions
  • Strong background in EO/IR phenomenology, optics, focal plane arrays, image processing, and relevant sensor hardware technologies
  • Experience with sensor architecture development, requirements derivation, and trade studies
  • Leadership experience in technical project teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Physics, EE, Mathematics, or equivalent
  • Experience in weapons systems design, missile systems design, or weapons systems performance analysis
  • Knowledge of imaging sensor modalities across the EO/IR spectrum
  • Automatic Target Recognition, Track, and Aim Point Selection
  • Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML), Model-Based Agile Engineering (Value-Driven Digital Threads), and Agile Mindset principles, practices, and processes
