CareRing Health, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and collection of medical claims.
Responsibilities:- Claims Submission: Submit medical claims to insurance companies and government programs in a timely and accurate manner.
- Claims Reconciliation: Reconcile all charges and data entered into our practice management EHR Medical Billing System to ensure 100% data entry accuracy.
- Accounts Receivable: Collect accounts receivable from patients, insurance companies, and government programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance.
- Denial and Reimbursement: Appeal and troubleshoot denied claims, prepare denied claims for rebilling, and inquire and correct unpaid claims for re-submission.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Request and follow up on additional information as needed for auditing of claims and all revenue reports, including eligibility, benefits, and provider information.
- Correspondence and Communication: File all correspondence into patient charts and negotiate settlements for payments with insurance companies and courts with assistance of Billing Manager.
- Remittance Advice and Adjustments: Review and post Remittance Advice to EHR Medical Billing System and perform adjustments within the system according to department guidance.
- Billing Policy and Procedures: Follow billing policy guidelines and documented procedures, and consistently demonstrate and uphold CareRing's principle of providing quality health and human services to the medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree preferred, with experience billing Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial health plans for medical services preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy, ability to analyze large sets of data, and experience working with an EHR medical billing system.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
