This is your chance to make a significant impact in a close-knit community. The position involves working on the 2nd Shift, with 12-hour shifts available, and is a Full-Time role. There are no supervisory responsibilities or travel requirements associated with this position.
Compensation: A commitment bonus of $15,000.00 is offered.
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary objective of our nursing team members is to deliver exceptional patient experiences while providing professional nursing services across various inpatient and outpatient environments.
The Registered Nurse adheres to the nursing process, which includes patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care provided.
Collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams is essential to offer both physical and psychological support to patients and their families, while complying with hospital policies and nursing standards.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Experience: Recent experience in critical care or Med/Surg is required.
License/Certifications:
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NC.
- Current BLS Certification is mandatory.
- ACLS Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- PALS Certification is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Monitor Bed Unit RN is responsible for providing direct and individualized nursing care to patients, applying scientific nursing principles.
In addition to general nursing duties, the RN's responsibilities include:
- Creating a compassionate environment by offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
- Delivering direct, professional nursing care.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Adhering to infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
- Ensuring the safe operation of medical equipment.
- Preparing equipment and assisting physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Administering medications through the electronic health record and scanning process.
- Documenting, monitoring, and reporting symptoms and changes in patient status.
- Providing patient education regarding illnesses and promoting health maintenance.
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient records.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and reassessments for all age groups.
- Interacting professionally with patients and families, providing explanations and reassurance.
- Formulating and updating individualized care plans for each patient.
- Acting as a patient advocate.
- Complying with protocols, procedures, and policies.
- Demonstrating knowledge of cardiac monitoring and appropriate treatments.
- Prioritizing nursing care and employing critical thinking skills.
- Documenting all nursing care data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicating appropriately with all hospital staff, visitors, families, and physicians.
- Exhibiting flexibility and professionalism, especially in stressful situations.
- Participating in the orientation and training of new personnel.
- Engaging in special assignments and Quality Improvement projects.
