Job Summary:

The California State Association of Counties is seeking a highly skilled and experienced UCCE Area Director to provide strategic leadership and support for applied research and outreach programs across Marin, Napa, and Sonoma counties.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and oversight for applied research and outreach programs in three counties
  • Serving as a liaison with multiple partners, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private sector entities
  • Overseeing all educational and applied research programs, including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Managing the physical plant and human resources, including staff supervision and development

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An advanced degree and/or equivalent experience in public administration, organizational development, business administration, or a related area
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in strategic planning and program development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
