Crisis Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Outreach Responder to join our 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use disorder crises in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based crisis services to individuals in need, working closely with the 988-managing entity to identify and respond to crises.
- Collaborate with community providers and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members, families, and friends to support individuals in crisis and facilitate access to appropriate services.
- Document all interactions and services provided, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to meet program requirements.
- Participate in regular supervision, training, and meetings to ensure ongoing professional development and team cohesion.
- Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field or equivalent experience in the field.
- Minimum two years of post-bachelor's professional experience in mental health or a related field.
- Valid NJ driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and respond to crises in a calm and professional manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and groups.
