Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Estimator to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for managing heavy industrial and healthcare construction projects from pre-construction to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the financial success of assigned projects, create monthly customer pay applications, and receive and evaluate proposals to develop a project budget.
  • Estimation and Pricing: Manage subcontractor and vendor pricing phases, including schedule, document distribution, addenda issuance, and pricing receipt.
  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between clients, architects, engineers, utilities, and municipalities during the construction process.
  • Drawings and Documentation: Review preliminary architectural and engineering drawings, identify efficiencies and changes, and ensure changes are incorporated into drawings.
  • Subcontractor and Vendor Management: Identify and qualify potential subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate with and secure subcontractors and vendors, and complete material and labor take-offs as needed.
  • Site Progress and Budgeting: Conduct regular site progress meetings with clients to review budgets and recommend value engineering options, develop construction schedules, and review client documentation requirements.
  • Issue Resolution and Invoicing: Assist in resolving issues with subcontractors, review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders, and process and track shop drawings, product data, samples, and other submittals.
  • WIP Reporting and Project Closure: Review monthly projections for all assigned projects to ensure accurate WIP reporting and verify completion of punch items at the close of the project.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or similar
  • 3+ years construction management/estimating experience
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
