Speech Therapist

Job Summary:
Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to provide high-quality speech therapy services to our residents. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
- Evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
- Develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals.
- Instruct patients, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities.
- Complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.
- Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs.
- Participate in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency.
- MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
- Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
