Developmental Therapist for Early Intervention Services

Capitol City Residential Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Developmental Therapist to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. As a Developmental Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing developmental needs, creating individualized intervention plans, and delivering therapies to support the child's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments to identify delays or disabilities in infants and toddlers.
• Develop individualized family service plans (IFSP) based on assessment results.
• Monitor and evaluate the child's progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies to address the specific developmental needs of each child.
• Use evidence-based practices to enhance developmental outcomes in areas such as motor skills, communication, cognitive abilities, and social-emotional development.
• Collaborate with families to understand their goals and priorities for their child's development.
• Provide education and training to parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child's development at home.
• Offer emotional support and resources to families to help them navigate the early intervention process.
• Work closely with other early intervention professionals, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and special educators.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Developmental Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities, preferably within an early intervention setting such as TEIS.
• Appropriate state licensure or certification in the relevant field (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Special Education Teacher).
