Speech Therapist I

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist I to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Speech Therapist I, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing patients to establish functional, measurable goals to promote restoration of functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess patients to establish functional, measurable goals to promote restoration of functional abilities.
- Provide treatment according to a written plan of care to meet established goals.
- Plan for discharge and communicate findings and progress according to professional licensure/certification, scope of practice and departmental/discipline policies and procedures.
- Document interventions/care in the patient's medical record.
- Evaluate effectiveness of plan of care and reassess patient's functional status as needed.
- Provide discharge planning information which includes patient/family education, follow-up, and referral to community resources.
- Contribute to the development of staff and students.
- Participate in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
- SLP licensure
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire
- Basic computer literacy skills
