Position Overview:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Racine Vocational Ministry, Inc. (RVM) is a pivotal full-time role dedicated to advancing the mission of RVM. The CEO will lead the organization through effective programming, administration, management, and fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development:

  • Oversee and enhance the services provided by Racine Vocational Ministry, Inc.
  • Ensure optimal management of existing programs while innovating new initiatives, coordinating with consultants and contractors for program development and training.

Administrative Leadership:

Take charge of the overall administration of RVM with support from the team. Administrative duties include:

  • Managing daily office operations.
  • Recruiting, hiring, supervising, and mentoring staff, including adjusting compensation within budget constraints.
  • Planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Engaging in major community events, Board meetings, and annual gatherings.
  • Representing RVM in public forums.
  • Presenting budget proposals to the Board and ensuring adherence to the finalized budget.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Committee to manage all financial aspects, including budget planning and oversight.

Management:

  • Oversee the hiring and management of external consultants and professional services.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with businesses, educational institutions, and the broader community.

Fundraising and Development:

  • Lead fundraising efforts directly or through staff and Board assistance, which may include:
  • Engaging a contract grant writer.
  • Working with the Resource Development Committee of the Board.
  • Overseeing grant proposals to foundations, government entities, corporations, and individuals, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Ensuring completion and filing of post-grant approval reports within required timeframes.
  • Soliciting financial sponsorship for events.
