Medical Support Specialist

About the Role:The Medical Support Specialist is responsible for providing a seamless experience for patients in one or more of the following service lines: Daily Care, Family Medicine, Mental Health, Women's Health, Dermatology, and Podiatry.
This includes scheduling appointments, updating medical records, checking patients in and out, performing blood draws, processing labs, and maintaining inventory.

- Ensure patient satisfaction by delivering exceptional customer service.
- Schedule new appointments as needed.
- Process patient payments.
- Educate patients on navigating their medical record.
- Maintain accurate patient information.
- Perform blood draws and finger sticks while adhering to laboratory standards.
- Process collected specimens and document results.
- Maintain supply inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Work with basic medical equipment and provide emergency care when necessary.
- Support medical providers as needed.
- Contribute to a clean and organized clinic environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to navigate computer systems and learn new software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPR/BLS certification required, or ability to obtain within 60 days.
- Obtain state-specific medical assistant/phlebotomy licensure within 6 months, if applicable.
