Overview:
A fully remote opportunity with UF Health is available for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Biller and Coder. This role involves working with patient records, assigning diagnoses and procedure codes, and submitting claims to third-party payers.
Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of patient insurance information and ensure timely submission of claims to payers.
- Process and balance daily billing records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
- Assign and verify ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Ensure documentation is complete and accurate to support coding and billing processes.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in third-party payer coding, with 2 years preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification a plus.
