Aviation Training Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot SME to fill the role of an Air Battle Management SME to support the Mobility Air Force Distributed Training Center (DTC) in the United States. The ideal candidate will have operational knowledge of pilot doctrine, aircraft capabilities, and tactics to prepare realistic aircrew training scenarios and lead the execution of MAF Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Facilitate Mission Briefings and Debriefings: The successful candidate will lead and facilitate mission briefings and debriefings, evaluating simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum proficiency.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with MAF Aircrew Training Device providers and customers to determine exercise requirements that will enable units to meet the MAF DMO Program vision to enhance Global Reach through a network of live, virtual, and constructive training capabilities.
- Provide Operational and Tactical Level Experience: Provide operational and tactical level experience in integrated employment of MAF DTC core missions, with specific expertise in fighter employment and fighter integration.
- Analyze and Provide Recommendations: Analyze and provide recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises.
- Coordinate with User Community Representatives: Coordinate with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise to support DMO events and provide instructor-level expertise to help shape tactical training for participants.
- Evaluate Program Designs and Alternatives: Compare, analyze, and evaluate the relative merits of program designs and alternatives, applying emerging doctrine and tactics to system design and development.
- Prepare Reports and Briefs: Prepare reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.
- Education and Experience: 6+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 10 years relevant experience with High School Diploma.
- C-17, C-5, KC-135, or C-130 Piloting Experience: Current or previous C-17, C-5, KC-135, or C-130 piloting experience, preferred within the last 3 years.
- Security Clearance: Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Must have proven leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
- Instructor or Evaluator Experience: Instructor or Evaluator experience.
- Large Force Exercise Training Experience: Experience in planning and executing Large Force Exercise training events.
The salary for this position starts at $130,000 USD annually.
