Key Responsibilities- Instructional Support: Assist teachers with lesson implementation, classroom preparation, and clerical tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient instructional program.
- Student Supervision: Supervise students during lunch, playground, and worship activities, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
- Assist with Classroom Management: Organize instructional and other materials, assist with classroom setup, and provide support for teachers as needed.
- Provide Individualized Support: Offer one-on-one or small group tutoring, guiding students in their academic progress and providing additional support as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some educational background in child development preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of experience working with children in a school, pre-school, or daycare setting.
- Skills: Ability to assist with instructing reading, writing, and mathematics; knowledge of and ability to assist with reading readiness and writing readiness.
The Education Assistant will be required to walk up and down stairs, sit, stoop, squat, stand, reach, talk, hear, read, write, use a computer keyboard, and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds.
