Job Summary

As an Elementary School Teacher at Genesee Education Consultant Services, Inc., you will serve as the instructional leader for kindergarten through sixth grade students. Your working relationship with students, parents, school personnel, and the community will be focused on optimal student learning.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the school with integrity and professionalism.
  • Develop student learning plans that meet standards and maintain fidelity to the EL Education Curriculum.
  • Assess students regularly to accurately plan for their optimal learning and know each student well.
  • Collaborate well with others, including ENA staff, parents, and community members.
  • Initiate continuous professional learning and share with others.
  • Communicate effectively through various channels.
  • Provide parents with regular feedback regarding their child's progress through verbal and written contact, progress reports, report cards, and face-to-face conferences.
  • Create an environment that respects diversity and where everyone excels to their highest level.
  • Maintain accurate student records.
  • Follow ENA's Multi-Tiered System of Support.
  • Participate in required formative and summative testing, using results to plan for student learning and own professional learning.
  • Maintain the status of a highly qualified teacher.
  • Ability to transition to the use of Google Classroom as required.
  • Assist the school leader/principal in other duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and appropriate Teaching Certificate/Licensure.
