Key Responsibilities:

The Environmental Compliance Technician will operate under general supervision, utilizing automotive mechanic hand tools and power tools to install, inspect, test, repair, rebuild, and maintain various mechanical systems following established procedures and verbal directives.

Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Preparing test parts and assembling for evaluation.
  • Managing the movement of fuel system components in and out of storage.
  • Conducting preparation and sampling of fuel system parts.
  • Executing fuel flushes and changes as per established procedures.
  • Dismantling and reassembling test systems at the conclusion of tests or during intermediate inspections.
  • Troubleshooting test equipment issues.
  • Conducting VOC part preparation, sampling, and analysis.
  • Receiving and inventorying fuel for various applications.
  • Assisting with specialty fuel blending as required.
  • Maintaining inventory and procurement of fuels within the department.
  • Ensuring the work area is kept clean and organized.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Adherence to strict safety protocols for handling flammable substances.
  • Clear handwriting, basic math skills, and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Availability for overtime and/or shift adjustments on short notice.
  • Ability to tolerate moderate exposure to heat and noise.
  • Use of safety glasses and hearing protection is mandatory.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 49 lbs.
  • Ability to spend a significant amount of time standing, walking, crouching, lifting, and bending.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in automotive mechanics is preferred.
