Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally sensitive case management services to refugee clients
  • Maintain up-to-date information in client files
  • Ensure delivery of services as described in partner organizations' handbook and contractual agreement
  • Collaborate effectively with internal staff to coordinate services for clients
  • Develop and maintain understanding of current refugee issues
  • Document services in accordance with guidelines and procedures laid out by the Office of Global Michigan (OGM) for refugee case management
Requirements
  • Bachelor's level degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a Social Services field
  • Child welfare and/or case management experience is strongly preferred
  • Bi-lingual: English/Ukrainian preferred
  • Prior work experience with serving refugees, preferred
  • Sensitivity in communicating and developing cross-cultural relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player and highly collaborative
  • Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
