Bethany is seeking a skilled Refugee Case Manager to provide culturally sensitive social services to clients referred to the program. This individual will be responsible for maintaining client files, ensuring delivery of services, and collaborating with internal staff to coordinate services for clients enrolled in Bethany programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide culturally sensitive case management services to refugee clients
- Maintain up-to-date information in client files
- Ensure delivery of services as described in partner organizations' handbook and contractual agreement
- Collaborate effectively with internal staff to coordinate services for clients
- Develop and maintain understanding of current refugee issues
- Document services in accordance with guidelines and procedures laid out by the Office of Global Michigan (OGM) for refugee case management
- Bachelor's level degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a Social Services field
- Child welfare and/or case management experience is strongly preferred
- Bi-lingual: English/Ukrainian preferred
- Prior work experience with serving refugees, preferred
- Sensitivity in communicating and developing cross-cultural relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a team player and highly collaborative
- Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
