Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic trauma care team in the Emergency Department.
As a Trauma Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering specialized care to trauma patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary trauma team, and participating in trauma research initiatives and quality improvement projects.
Responsibilities- Assess, triage, and provide advanced nursing care to trauma patients in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary trauma team, including physicians, surgeons, and respiratory therapists, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and deliver trauma education programs for ED staff, including trauma simulations and drills.
- Participate in trauma research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes.
- Advocate for the needs of trauma patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance.
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Commitment to ethical and legal standards in trauma care.
