Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic trauma care team in the Emergency Department.

As a Trauma Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering specialized care to trauma patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary trauma team, and participating in trauma research initiatives and quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, triage, and provide advanced nursing care to trauma patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary trauma team, including physicians, surgeons, and respiratory therapists, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and deliver trauma education programs for ED staff, including trauma simulations and drills.
  • Participate in trauma research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Advocate for the needs of trauma patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Commitment to ethical and legal standards in trauma care.
