Neuro Trauma Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg RN with a specialization in Neuro Trauma to join our healthcare team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a Med Surg RN in Neuro Trauma, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to critically ill and injured patients with neurologic injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and spinal cord injuries.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill and injured patients with neurologic injuries
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Current RN License in good standing with state licensing board
- BSN required or enrollment and completion of BSN within 5 years
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting
- BLS certification (ACLS within 3 months of hire)
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $3,000 relocation package
- Professional Development: $500 annually for professional growth
- Education Allowance: $3,000 annually for further education
- Monthly Extra Shift Bonus: Additional $3,000 per month through 4x4 incentive program
- Shift Differential: Extra $4 to $8 per hour as a shift differential
- Certification Bonus: $1,000 bonus annually for maintaining certifications
- Referral Bonus: $5,000 bonus for referring a fellow RN
- Commuter Subsidy: Monthly $100 commuter subsidy
- Paid Time Off: 208 hours of paid time off annually (104 hours part-time)
- Clinical Nurse Associate I Bonus: $2,000 bonus in the first year
