Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Production Manager to lead our Supply Chain Optimization team at Kawneer Company, Inc. in Visalia, CA. As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for managing a team of 20+ employees and ensuring the Material Handling, Shipping/Receiving, and Boxing teams operate efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

As a Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

* Managing all departmental goals in alignment with the plant business, ensuring optimal performance in areas such as IFE, TRR, DART, Human Performance, OTIF, WCR, Operational Productivity, Labor Efficiency, OEE, Inventory, Budget, Quality, and more

* Leading employee engagement initiatives to drive departmental activities and morale

* Implementing policies and procedures to improve working conditions and recommending improvements as needed

* Conducting employee performance reviews and issuing disciplinary action when necessary

* Analyzing and resolving problems to optimize process efficiency

* Collaborating with the Quality Department to investigate scrap and implement corrective actions

* Ensuring the integrity of system transactions on Oracle/JDE

* Developing and maintaining leading indicators processes to prevent EHS incidents

* Communicating with the Plant Manager and peers on daily, weekly, and monthly requirements

* Collaborating with other production and support departments to ensure seamless operations

* Reviewing production schedules and staffing requirements to guarantee safety and productivity

* Providing process direction and prioritization to craft employees on off-shifts to resolve equipment issues

* Succession planning and coaching leads and employees to achieve organizational goals

* Creating and maintaining skill matrices for employees, including training plans and progression pathways

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or 10 years of manufacturing experience as a department lead

* 5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment

* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive employee engagement and collaboration
