Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Health Information Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Healthcare Services and Technologies department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our services meet quality standards in the United States. You will also help monitor and regulate the efficiency of our department's services, ensuring an optimal pace for all core and ad-hoc activities.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze patient data to improve patient care and minimize costs.
  • Design and manage information systems to meet medical and legal standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security standards to protect patient information.
  • Record data in computer systems to ensure easy indexing and cross-referencing, and verify the accuracy and completeness of medical records.
  • Assign clinical codes for reimbursement from insurance companies.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English is required; previous professional experience in an anglophone environment is an asset.
  • A bachelor's degree in health information or a relevant field is necessary.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a health information technician or a similar role.
  • Excellent research, coding, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of computers and information systems.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
