The Access Control Officer is a critical role within Chenega Corporation, responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our facilities and personnel. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for performing access control screening functions for employees and visitors, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and enforce company security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Conduct thorough background checks and screenings for employees and visitors, as required.
- Monitor and control access to sensitive areas and equipment, ensuring only authorized personnel have access.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, providing timely and effective support to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
- Collaborate with other security personnel to maintain a high level of security awareness and vigilance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with changing security protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in regular security training and drills to maintain a high level of preparedness and response.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall security mission.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Valid state driver's license required.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
